Thank you for the Presents, Jackson

Dear, wonderful, sweet Jackson keeps leaving me presents in the morning. It seems that every other morning next to my car door I find the lifeless body of a mole, mouse, lizard or bird. I have learned to watch me step when I am rushing to the car to get to work on time.

I am grateful that he leaves them outside and not on my bed next to my head. (shiver) That would not be pleasant to wake up to. Yuck!!!

And here I thought that because he no longer had his claws that his hunting would have lessened, appartently I was wrong! Though I am sure he would appreciate still having front claws. That should teach him to go wondering into other people's homes.

I understand that he is proud of what he has done but this is not really the site I want to see first thing in the morning. But could he leave me a nice piece a jewelry he found laying in the field or a handpicked wild flower. This might be asking too much. Oh well, I will appreciate his gifts...unless he starts bringing them inside.

Stand Still Jackson

As I was checking on my front wild flower bed I had a helper, Jackson. Everywhere I was, he was. I attempted to get a quick picture of him, but he seemed to evade the camera. Then I tried again, no such luck. It was now a challenge, I would get a good picture of Jackson.

First shot...no luck...

Second shot, he was investigating the camera...

Third shot, he is head-butting me...

Fourth shot, he is getting wise to what is in my hand...

Come on Jackson, put down your leg and look at me...

I didn't say "Come"...

I love you too..

Keep looking into the distance...

One more Jackson...

Got it!

Isn't he beautiful?

The Barnett Motley Crew

I took some photos last night of my motley crew. Each has a different opinion of me with the camera.

This is Kody begging, actually no he isn't begging he is telling me he wants to go inside and get out of the heat….

Willow playing in the grass with me… “Oh, I almost have that itch”

Jackson, ignoring me because...well, because he can. A brief moment of quiet, normally he is into something.

George posing for the camera, like a typical girl, (yes George is a girl).

And Alec, the identity confused cat (at times he thinks he is a dog and loves playing with Willow). Now, he is looking down at Willow and just begging for her head to come closer so he can swat it. (He is trying to pretend he is cool and doesn’t see the camera, yeah right!)
